When cleaning my MAP sensor today, i noticed a unconnected plug which ran from the same part of the loom

My MAP sensor has 3 pins, maybe this unconnected plug would work if i bought a MAP with 2 pins?

Covered loads of times on here - it's not for a different MAP sensor. It's unused on the GTi-6.

I was confused because someone mentioned that 3 pin sensors are from Phase1's, mine is a phase 3 Rallye Dunno

There are two sensors; one used on the phase 1 and 2 and a later one used on the phase 3 but both are three pin sensors and only the connector changes.

The earlier one. Rallye's are phase 2.

You do currently have the correct sensor for the vehicle age. (Sometimes you find the wrong one if the loom has been changed).
