Normally we get the threads they are siezed up Laugh

Had a siezed caliper a couple of months back so stripped them down and cleaned them up with some scotchbrite and lathered them in Lithuim grease and reasembled.

I've noticed in the last week or so after giving the car some abuse Ninja the caliper seems to be really loose on the sliders theres no play in them side to side but they slide far too easy the o/s seems loose!! Confused

I've checked all the bolts to make sure none of them had sheared off as i feared the caliper was loose and all is ok, Only its rather irritating as you can hear the caliper rattling as your driving along on a bumpy road which goes away when you brake which is expected.

Confused a bit what to do, Never done it before when i've done it so why a problem now, Shall i degrease it, is it possible to use too much?

Any ideas?

FTR running 1144s without the backing pad or rattle springs as they were tight enough in the caliper

Sorted it, Had to file a bit off the backing pad so to allow me to refit my rattle springs, which i thought i could do without

The pads were a really snug fit in the carrier and wouldnt fit with the rattle springs in them, Also ditched the copper grease on the back of the pads and fitted the rubber backing.

No more Squeal or rattles Cool
