What are the benefits of braided hoses? And is it a bit deal to fit them or is it a garage job?

the only benefit i can think of is that they last longer than rubber ones as they do not tend to crack as easily and they look nice Smile.
when i had them on my car i did not notice any change in braking performance.

as for the fitting its quiet easy 15 min per side only a spanner.
And dont forget to bleed the brakes after your done!!

as said
last longer
better pedal feel
better braking effect due to less expansion of the hose

plenty of detail on the net about them

the main advantage is that they dont expand as much when under pressure, which means no spungy pedal.
