Don't worry the rallye has the other one, lions look better on the van rather than tucked up stairs at work

not liking the bar , but the rest looks pretty good, thought they were illegal any way? pedestrian damage caused is massive when you take an old dear out with a bull bar. your the mot guy so i thought you would know if they are banned or not

Its a grey area i think but its not a solid bar like most its a thin metal, ok it may still hurt if it hits you but then i dont intend on going for the kill so to speak.

AFAIK factory fitted bars are legal, and A-bars like yours are legal, but full on bull bars are most definitely illegal.

Just blag that you bought the van like that and you thought it was a factory option. And then hope the plod don't spot the fact you're a Peugeot specialist Laugh my ass off

Its a total grey area bull bars as theres nothing about them on mot'ing as long as they dont have sharp edges.

i just bought a big f*ck off 1 for the pick up, still just an A bar tho!

that is cool, love this van!

According to the DfT in their presentation to the consultation meeting the following legislation applies to non approved bull bars, nudge bars or Frontal Protection Systems.

Road Traffic act 1988 section 41, A person who uses or allows to be used a motor vehicle which does not comply with these regulations is guilty of an offence (bull bars do not comply):
Section 75, no person shall supply a motor vehicle or alter a vehicle in an unroadworthy condition, unroadworthy means use on a road would be in contravention of section 41 (bull bars contravene section 41)
Section 76, if a person supplies a part, or fits a part such that it fails to comply with section 41 they are guilty of an offence (bull bars do not comply).
The Road Vehicle Construction and use 1986 regulation 100, a motor vehicle and all its accessories will at all times be kept in a condition so that no danger is caused to any person in or on a vehicle or on the road: Non apprved bull bars and FPS's are considered to be unsafe and therefore cause a danger to persons on the road.

To be on the safe side, if you can get it from a UK dealership then I'd say it is legal, but if you buy one off ebay with no part numbers, or if the part number states it is for outside EU use only (there are loads of disco 3 solid bars with this) then you are not legal.

I love the van, i dont think the bar does it any favours though but generally the van's Love

It makes the lions look teeny (like cyclones) LOL

Can i say one thing though, and i hope this is recieved as intended, i.e. not offensively.

Your 'corporate identity' is a bit scrappy.

What i mean by this is that you dont have one particular theme/logo that is instantly recogniseable as CG Cars of Leicester.

When you were looking for ideas for your track car.. they were different, your van livery is different, your recovery truck livery is different, your website headers are different, your signage at the garage is probably different too (i've not seen it so cant/shouldn't comment on this really)

As your business grows, your 'identity' becomes very important. Would hurt to connsider a bit of 'theme consolidation'

Hope this doesnt offend fella! Thumbs up

No thats fine, the courtesy car and the van are the same, the truck will be the same too once the weather has cleared up a bit to so the sign writers can do there bit. a new sign for the garage is here too but again with the weather its impossible to get it on the wall.

Cheers, or the comments, no offence taken it all helps to see an out siders virew.
