Spiky, theres 2 engine no.s for the 8v trumpers. I think its rgx and rgy, that dictates which pistons the engine will have. I had a flat top pistoned one out of an xm and i'm almost certain it was an rgx.

The pistons are

Will a gti-6 or s16 head fit or will the valves touch?

Got any pics of the "flat top"?

one of the main bits of the turbo build tho so a wouldnt skrimp , ok you may get one for say £500 but then starts to crack or welds break etc

iv watched my car on the rollers for hours and the manifold cherry red but its never failed

iv also repaired alot of cheaper manifold for customers

one of those things in my eyes you pay for what you get and the dp manifold is porn

we had one up at 240bhp

you already have the management

buy my big turbo and fancy head and cam

and you would see easy over 200 atw +

and that would be on a budget

just to answer allanallen's Question, S16 pistons+rods under a gti6 head will give just over 10.9-1 stock, over 11-1 skimmed.

figures here Max lift at TDC thread

The XU10 J2TE shares the head with the n/a 10J2, as mentioned there's two turbo's, the lower compression one has the flat top pistons, the dished are higher compression (lower compression height with the flat topped ones)

can't remember which is which, but there's not a massive difference.

Miles has had good results from the 8v turbo on mapped management, 220 lbft and over 200, under 1 bar IIRC.

he doesn't like that engine mind LOL

plenty of info on 205 forum about them Smile
