Just in the process of refurbing some hub and hub carriers and i've noticed that the hub themself look different. One has a slightly larger diamiter hole for the drive shaft to sit in than the other. Its odd because the hubs carriers are off a GTI-6 i do believe. Look at the left hub compared to the one on the right....They are also slightly different design.Left = larger Right = smaller I've used a vernier to measure the inner diamieter and they appear to be the same but yet they look smaller.
