It sounds like im giving it death but max revs are 4k, with no more than 3/4 throttle as a rule to run it in fairly gently.

Done 150 miles now!!

Im amazed at how noisy the filter is, induction noise FTW!

I wouldn't have expected you to fit a cone filter.
Sounds wicked though. Do it again when you can rev it all the way?

No pics of the camera set up, just the normal GoPro Hero 2 Motorsport edition with suction cup mount, fixed it to the passanger door, near the front, just under the moulding, and ran an external mic from the camera into the engine bay and secured it to the K & N with an elastic band LOL!

Need to move the mic off the filter, to reduce the sound of rushing air when on a light throttle.

I'll get some pics of it next time we film something.

See you mid morning saturday Andy, get the kettle on!

Anyway, new car buying aside, ive had a little delivery arrive from Steven at Custom decals off here to change the look of the wheels a touch.

As you know if you've been reading from the begining, the wheels are Compomotive VLM's, which are an exact replica of the original Magnesium Group A wheels fitted on many cars such as 306 Maxi, 206 Maxi Kit car, and Clio Maxi back in the day. Compomotive obviously cant brand them as speedline, even though speedline dont make them anymore, but i can!!

Sourced some subtle speedline spoke graphics and removed the compomotive stickers, and Steven made me up some gel wheel centre badges to exactly the correct size, 58mm. Quality is spot on and fast delivery as well, so as ive got a few days off to celebrate the wifes 40th birthday, that id get up early and have a dabble.

Pics do the talking...

Had a bootlid badge off him and a new inlet manifold badge for the spare engine im building up over the winter

Some better pics of the front numberplate for Ed....

Going back to the GoPro, they only come with a s**tty internal mic which sounds dreadful. Ive modified the external skeleton case to allow me to plug into the ext mic socket, got a cheap 12 foot extension lead and an eBay Sony Stereo mic for a tenner and the qualitys loads better, plus you can mount it out of the wind noise etc etc.

Good luck with the sale, someone looking for an immaculate example should really look no further with the attention to detail you've put into this build. Looking forward to seeing the next. Smile
