It's locked up in the garage, insured and running but due to changing jobs I don't have the time or money to do anything with it at the moment, let alone drive it.

Funnily enough I came across it on google searching for a pic of GTi6 brake pads before lunch.

Just closed it down and went back to the home page and realised 2 things. 1. There was an update. 2. It's time to go home.

Why, want some of your parts back? Pah, I've paid to insure it for the year now, and I'm damn well going to park it in a garage to get my money's worth.

Nope, not even a trackday. Currently deciding whether to keep it or flog it, zero time or money to track it at the moment.

If you need the £££'s the flog it now, if you don't, mothball it until you have the time to dig it out again. At least you know it's track ready if you fancy a day in the future.

Yeah, thing is that the Pug is that kind of car that'll always need maintenance, and it'll be years before I have the time to tinker again. Even if I had the time and money for trackdays it might end up being better just getting an Elise or something that can do it all well out of the box, and flogging this car (or bits) now while they're still worth something rather than letting it all rust away to nothing.

Still undecided, certainly can't be dealing with getting it through another MOT in april.

Answered your own question there, get it broken for bits, vultures off here would soon snap the tasty bits up

Yeah problem with that is that all the good bits would all leave it non-rolling, and I don't have the space for a non-rolling shell.

    Not decided yet.

    Bodged you say? Ah.

Na tbh stuff just goes wrong with an old car that gets abused. I don't have a trailer, so if it breaks on a track day I'm screwed.

    We shall see.

I've used my 205 for 8k miles this year (past 9 months), nothing has broken, nothing has worn out, it rolls on Peugeot sport Gravel Bilstein suspension (180 lb/21mm) and M1144 pads, so its ready to do a trackday if I so wish, but I haven't done one in it for 5 years.
