The ECU primes the fuel pump when the immobiliser kicks in. I've no idea why it's programmed to do this but it's normal.

As for the stereo there are two positions you can set the fuse to. One gives a switched live from the ignition and the other gives a permanent live from the battery.

If the fuel pump won't shut off then the most likely culprit is the double relay on the back on the battery box.

i have this problem with my xsi. the fuel pump primes itself when the keys are out.although it primes itself every 20-30 mins or so indefinately. i have swapped the double relay over from two other 306's and the problem remains.
could it be im loosing pressure slowly in the fuel system? like a leaky injector or valve etc?

I have the same issue with the fuel pump, as you say just ever 15 - 25 mins. I've never been concerned though, I just assumed it was ment to on the relay...

i had same issue with my 306 estate

you can have your stereo and/or the 12v wired up with a live all the time
good to have the choice, cannot do it in a Rallye right enough! "Cheaper" fuse board i guess.

if you look in your manual it explains it there, basicly you move the fuse for your stereo"down a notch" (or up! cannot remember which fuse number does stereo)

most fuses only have 2 notches, your stereo (and 12v) has 3.
This lets you choose from permanent live or live when ignitions on.
