Hi all, i hope you can help. Someone knocked my car the other day and ever since, my brake lights dont work! Iv checked fuses under steering column and they seem fine so i dont have any idea what it could be. Please help!!! Cant b bulbs bcause all brake lights dont work. Thanks guys.

try the switch then in the steering column surround. fecker to get to but might be the cause

Reach up under the brake pedal. There is a small white switch IIRC is surrounded by rubber. Make sure that isn't getting jammed. It could even be the switch housing that is knackered. The housing can sometimes rust or crack but that isn't as common.

see where the cage has the bar running parallel to the dash, right through the steering column surround? it's in there! so might need help off someone with tiny fingers or lie on your back in the footwell with a torch. it's a white and black push-in sensor with a plug at the back

Thx guys. Ive tried that now. Is it a connector block with six wires going into it, with other connector blocks within the same surround? If yes, then still no joy!
Is there a relay for them? Ohh and how do you get to the rear bulbs? ....im useless arnt i. Thanks all. Smile

as far as i remember the plug is just two wires, nothing else.. this is on my p1 though, not sure on the p2/p3, doubt it'd change though Unsure

Thank god i`m not the only one with this problem, mine failed the MOT with all 3 not working.

All 3 of mine wernt working either untill last nite! I changed the switch last nite and hey presto!!! All is working now! Thanks guys Thumbs up
