Hi,

since the rear compensator isn't working (too much rust on the rear disks), i'm thinking about removing it at all.

has anyone tried this? the car is with the standard suspension (a bit lowering planned in a few weeks)
PP it's a phase 1 with ABS

whats rust on the disks gotta do with the compensator?, how do you it isn't working? is it just seized up? if so soak it in wd40 and work it loose with a mallet, back/forth, back/forth Wink

If you remove the compensator you will end up with the rear of the car infront of the bonnet very quickly unless you use an in car bias valve.

well actually i think it's just seized up, yes.
the calipers are moving OK and the pads are not worn.

anyway, i will drown it in wd40 and will tell what's the result

work it loose by hitting back and forth, it's obvious where it pivots, remove the spring first to get more of an area to hit Wink

Rusty rear discs are a good indicator that the rear brakes aren't getting enough pressure from the braking circuit.
