Hi folks. Ive just fitted some new Spax ssx front springs to my 6. They are supposed to give a drop of 40mm but it seems that they are more like 25mm also handling has become poorAngry

Could this just be down to the fact that the springs are new and need time to bed in?Huh? Sorry i havn't got any pics but its measuring approx 330mm from the top of the arch to the centre of the hub.

How did you get on with bedding them in ?

Fitted some today, and the drop is around 20/25mm and thats after taking it for a blast to bed them in.

Found the handling better with mine, less roll in the fast stuff but seem quite soft was expecting them to be a bit stiffer.

It took about 2-3 trips out for mine to really come to the car when I had Spax. Yes

My spax -40 lowered about 40. However, I now have the same sprinfs fitted to the psx shocks and it sits 5mm higher. Strange.

Strange one. Aaron was your spax springs shorter than the standard ? I was expecting them to be but wasn't, they must just be alot softer to get the drop.

Measured before and the arch gap was 45mm so was expecting a small gap 5mm ish still got 20-25mm i think. Have flared the archs tho so could account for 5mm ish.
