Engine runs perfectly, gets around 25-26mpg on my commute, which is a lot of sitting around in traffic.

This morning the engine management light (EML) came on, and now it won't go off.

I've had this before and it was the lambda sensor, but that light used to reset and come on after the engine had been running for 30secs +

This time around the EML comes on with the ignition and will not turn off at all upon starting the engine.

Any ideas what it might be? Booked in tomorrow for diagnostics, just seeing if anyone might have an incline before it goes in.
