Looking bloody good there, once you have done yours what would you be doing with the thingy majig that you are using to flip it over? Would like to do the rear of my car at some stage, i did the fron just like yours a couple of years ago.

A few pics, starting-

Half way there-

Painted-

Alot of hard work but very rewarding. Red should be great, make sure you paint it base coat and laquer.

Carl

hi carl, i do remember seeing a project thread a good while back now about you doing the front of yours i think we both seem to think along the same lines with doing things to the 306. (your 205 looks great aswell).

looks great fairplay cant wait to get mine painted now.

not 100% sure what im doing with the car spit yet after i finished with it as it probably wont be the only 306 ill be doing. but ill let you know when i have done my car i could always copy it myself so i have one and sell the other to you.

ill let you know.

thanks,richard

p.s cheers for the comments.

Why didnt you send the shell away to be dipped to strip it then coated, Then you paint it was it the cost factor?

hi, the only reason is that i don't like loosing money on things and that would cost around £3500 so although im spending alot on it i still want it to owe me less than its worth.

so if i didn't care about loosing that money then yes i would have it done.

i have a bead/sand blaster so i can pretty much get the same finish after bead blasting it and treating it then painting it.

it will be alot more work for me but my car will still owe me not alot of money for what its going to be when done.

brand new they was around £16,000 and mine will hopefully look like new but at the fraction of the cost.

thanks,richard.

Looks fantastic! Also very jealous that you have the ability to take the restoration to this level. The sandblasted parts look amazing...very impressive.

Look forward to seeing how it turns out!

So guys, not going to start another project thread just yet, but just to say that i had this actual car dropped on my drive today Thumbs up Doesn't look much like it did a few years back (in these previous pictures), in fact no engine or box in the car! Been stood in storage a fair few years Sad - just couldn't leave it sat there.I'll get some pics up soon - well i say 'i'll' get some pics up but it won't actually be me as i'm clueless on such matters Crazy

ps, thanks to Ryan (pug_306) for finding this original thread Thumbs up

Cheers for now

Hi Dev, yeah I have a couple of when we went to see it, and when I got her home. I'll post them up - well, when I say I'll - it probably won't be me due to the fact I ain't got a bloody clue how to do it - but I know a man who can Thumbs up
