hi, could anybody tell me the correct length for the flexi pipes on the rear of my phase 3 gti6?
the ones that are on there are roughly 21cm and the new braided ones i have are 35.5cm.

are different length brake flexi pipes fitted from model to model?
are all the beams eg exactly same or do some beams use a longer flexi than others eg?
thanks andy

beams with a load compensator use odd length hoses, P3 beams with EBD have equal length lines, can';t remember how long they are but it says on servicebox Thumbs up

the unions on the new ones also pass straight through the holes in the brakets/fittings for the flexi hose.
the old ones fited in then stopped when they rteached the nut part, and they had a groove in them to slide a clip in from the other side qand hold them in place.

i had measured the old ones at roughly 22cm before i removed them IIRC

theyre from miles, he said he will replace them no problem, but as i may be geting a recon beam i dont want to swap them only to find that theyre different again.
my old ones are probably nearer to 22cm than 21cm.

does other peeps graided pipes go through the hole that holds them in place on the beam/brackets??

mine goes straight through as it has a 14mm spanner end on and the originals have a 17mm spanner end so it stops them passing straight through.

what should the fittings be like?
do they use the original clip/large surclip, to hold them in place?
thanks

what is the 30mm difference for? is it for cars with a load compensator as mine both look pretty muich the same size.

Yes should fit up to the bracket then be held in place with the clip.
Yes difference in length though slight is enough to ensure they fit with the varying load sensor types.

Hmm got a pic?

Mine fitted perfectly, you'd need ones like I have as my car doesn't have a load compensator like a 306.

I'll see if I have a picture.
