Drivers side shaft cv blew up earlier Sad

Havent a clue what the shafts on the dimma are even from, anybody know if the bearings on the inner cv from a normal shaft will fit onto a dimma shaft ?

Dan

Yea, thats what i thought aswell, the inner part of the drivers side shaft will be standard length, will just be the outer thats longer, although cant figure out what its off to make for easy fix if one ever breaks big time.

From what ive just been trying to work out, i think the 1.9d expert van shafts might work with 306 cv's.

The shafts on the dimma are 40mm wider, well... at least i think they are, if this is the case, then the 1.9d expert shafts are 5mm longer on both side.

But we have no deffinate figures on how wide the dimma is, so they could poss be 45mm per side.

Might have to get hold of some and have a mess around.

Fixed it Smile

The actual shaft was f*cked, all the splines have been chewed up when the bearing blew up.

So wasnt a simple case of swoping all the bearings and cv's over.

Cant tell you how i fixed it though Razz

Is that a phase 3 plastic wiper?

If so they're very flimsy! Mine wasn't wiping the rear windscreen very well so I had a look at it, pulled up that flap that covers the nut holding it in place and it was cracked under there, so I thought oh that's not going to last long, went to lift it up as you would when you clean the rear windscreen and it came off in my hand!

Seen a few phase 3 plastic wipers dangling down on some 206's and 306's. Seems those dangly ones are probably just held on by the flap that covers the nut/spline.
