After not Driving GUP for a year now she's come out of retirement for a while..

to cut a long story short
I got an advisory the last MOT,
the front Brake Discs were pitted and can hear rubbing on the discs I put it down to a sticky piston,
so went about pulling it all apart,
it looks like I've lost a small ring seal and the large seal has a small nick in it I pressed the brake peddle to see if the piston was moving properly and to get it out far enough to have a good check of unfortunately it came out too far and p*ssed some break fluid out,
now I can't even get the piston back in to get it to a garage am I right in thinking that now I'm going to have to drain it and re-bleed the whole system before that piston will go back in again?

take the caliper off, check if the piston is pitted, if it is order a new one and seal set, if not just order the seal set from brakepartsuk, rebuild it it is dead easy then refit it with pads etc and then bleed the whole system

Its simples...

....Just make sure you use a deep socket when removing the nipples, as snapping them off is far too easy.
