HI guys, I've got a knocking coming from the drivers side..

it occurs when i brake and sometimes when i accelerate and sometimes when i go over bumps, just quite randomly TBH but at low speed nearly every time i brake.

i thought it might have been a drop link so i changed it and the knocking is still there, so obviously its not that. The only reason i thought it might have been the drop link as i have fitted new coilovers, wishbones with group n bushes and new ball joints within the last few months. So dont think it could be any of that so soon.

Any help would be great thanks.

cheers steve

Checy your top engine mount. The mounting point can crack and the engine rocking will then make knocking noises in the situations you describe.

Slacken the wishbone bolts, retorque them and see if it goes away, sometimes as the bushes settle in the bolt torque drops just enough for them to shuffle occasionally.

Could also be ball joint again. I've had pattern parts fail very quickly before.
