When you refitted the head did you measure the liner protrusion and make sure they were within the limits?

Are you getting a lot of pressure in the cooling system or just noticing the oil/water mix?

If its only the water and oil mixing then flush both out as good as you can, it's possible you still have a bit of oil in the water or vice versa from the first time the gasket went.

Have you got a heat exchanger fitted to the engine??

Have known these to leak internally. Yes

Was the head gasket knackered????Huh?

As above, liner seals probably, but could also be oil modine(heat exchanger)

Is the coolant system getting pressurised??????

if your car is pre 92 then you won;t have a heat exchager fitted, if after this it's hit and miss.
But could be liner seals, The protrusion really only applies to new seals and not old ones but the liners should seat just above the deck.
I've known the water and oil pipes to be mixed up before as well

IMO, liner seals is a fair job, head off, sump off, pistons out liners out, cleaning the block and liner very well and re-sealing o-rings. Prob even more, just buy another engine for a few hundred off ebay.
