Well im trying to replace the K&N filter with the original box and pipework.

Problem im having is how to get it into position without taking loads apart.

So far i have tried by removing the wheel arch and going from under the car but the 'splash guard' attached to subframne is in the way.

I didnt really want to remove the top rad hose as means bleeding the system.

Is there and easy way to do this.

Thanks John

i refitted a std airbox at weekend

i removed the wheel, pulled the arch liner back to the disc and undid the map sensor but that was it. bit fiddly but nothing hard..

i refitted the bottom box and did the screws up etc, then the top ducting section by feeding it into the gap and rotating it into place, then tightening it up, then doing the TB end

It senses whether you have a map in the car or sat nav. Set up is removable while car complete so should be fittable other than arch liner and jacked up so you can access from underneath and side.

LOL

you will see it at the end of the manifold near the throttle body. it will immediately be in the way when trying to do anything

it's not a hard job by any means, just a bit fiddly

to remove mine i took thee passenger wheel off then undone splash panel attched to the wing liner and i could get it out without issue. i split the resinator from the filter first.

I'm a Rallye owner (stick my nose up) just kididng i bought it from a member a couple of months ago. Don't know of any other members close by. But im sure there are some.

Where did you get your parts powder coated as i was thinking of getting some cyclones done.

Just for the record as people seem to be enjoying makign lil jokes, im not as dim as i sound people. Im used to the 1.4 engine where there is plenty of room around the engine. So much infact that your could most probably sit in the engine bay and fix it Smile
