this is not on my gti6 but on are lasses d turbo fan closest to battery running at max speed any idea???

is the brown sensor plugged in?

if its not then the fan will be on constantly.

brown sensor on had to cut plug off and fit new ends due to very loose fit yes it does have air con but as always its inop

Hmm, Have a look at the brown plug in front of the PAS pump. Does it do it when the aircon button is on? Or all the time?

My wifes DT had the same problem though both fans would run flat out - sounds like a hovercraft ready to take off! Oddly it only did it when it was damp.
Anyway try removing the relays from the relay box in the V of the two fans, give the terminals a good clean and a squirt of WD40, swap the green relays over and see if the fault then transfers to the other fan, if it does then its probably a contact inside welded itself together. If not then there is a fan electronic control box inside the passenger wheel arch at the front above the alarm siren. Unbolt and unplug it and give the connector plug and the control box terminals a clean and spray, check for corrosion of the terminals.

was my next port off call clean swop all realys around then if that fails go on to the briton box

sort of sorted cleaned wd briton box now got fans working at 100 degrees at max bring temp down to around 88 no slow speed will sort this when weather gets better cheers guysSmile

I think as these cars get older that Bitron control box will cause a lot more problems, its worth doing some
preventative maintenance and clean the contacts then grease accordingly.
