Love it Thumbs up
Looks very dark and shadowy at Anglesey

Never been to three sisters / Wigan?

Most importantly did you enjoy it at both ?

Yeah 3 sisters is Wigan. About 45mins from me so for some cheap school night fun it's not bad at all and actually really enjoyed it. 1st time with the steering wheel spaced myched closer and it felt loads better to drive.

Still prefer the likes of proper circuits like Anglesey tho. Anglesey is definitely one of my favourites.

Blyton next I think for the PFC mag trackday next month Thumbs up

So spent the last week sorting out a few more bits on the rallye, bit of welding to sort the jacking points. cills out and front wheel bearing, fresh MOT and now all set for a few more trackdays.

Ive got Anglesey a week today, (easter monday) and then the PFC trackday at Blyton on the sunday following (24th)

Just got the wheels to swap over (track wheels/tyres, hoping for decent weather for a change) and give the brakes a quick clean up and re-grease.

So decided to get some air vents in from the fog blanks to the inner arches to help with brake cooling etc prior to Anglesey. Every little helps and all that.

Also the rallye was covered in grinder filings that were turning the car a lovely shade of orange so decided to give it a cut and wax as I'd given the rest of the cars a full detail over the Easter weekend.

Then it was loaded up ready for Anglesey on Easter Monday.

Even the rear tyres got a good workout which is unusual for me so obviously pushing that little bit more now. Also finally killed off the front discs with the DS3000 pads, had a really bad brake wobble by the end of the day (managed 4 trackdays in the past 4 months tho) so thrown on some new (old set) discs for Blyton on Sunday. I'll get some new (new) discs for it when I swap pads. Going to give the Mintex F6r a try, meant to be a lot kinder on the discs.

Not updated for a while so bit of a photo dump.

Did the PFC mag trackday at Blyton Park at the end of April. Was good to meet up with Rob (rwgti) and Steve (Prizmguy).

The rallye performed well, but after getting a passenger session out in Rob's S/C 6, its given me a bit of a shopping list of bits I want for mine now haha. Was very impressed with the way that thing went and handled. It was a joint day with a performance German car mag and Robs car was probably one of the quickest there despite a number of high powered german motors etc.

Anyhow, few photos from the day.

Finally time for an oil change after a year and several trackdays.

Decided to go for a thicker and more track based oil (always just gone 5W40 edge) and found a bit of a leak from one of the oil cooler pipes which I sorted, also giving it a quick check through and noticed another bolt coming loose, this time from the bottom arm. Been having a number of different ones working loose after trackdays so starting to get a little paranoid now with it...

Then managed to sneak in a track evening at 3 sisters again, this time meeting up with Mark (Marksorrento205) for a few ours of cheap track time and to finally kill off the last of my brakes.

And last week, I picked up a cheap set of wheels (its hard finding wheels that clear the brembos without spacers) which I had planned to have as track wets so not to keep on ruining the speedline 2118's with brake dust etc, however I couldnt help myself and have gone and bought another brand new set of 2118's to have as "good" road wheels for when I actually get round to tidying up the bodywork on the rallye at some point, so I may just keep using the current ones for track anyhow.

Think I have a wheel problem as thats 5 sets of wheels I now have for the rallye.

Also renewed the brakes, the DS3000's are fantastic track pads but very harsh on the discs, wasnt an issue when I was picking the discs up for £12 each the back end of last year, but now are at £50 each so after killing a few sets of discs and the pads all but done, I decided to try the Mintex F6r as the next track pad.

I've bedded them in and they are back boxed ready for the next lot of track time. I've gone and fitted a set of M1155's for everyday use for now. And for the 1st time in a long time, trying grooved/drilled discs purely as I managed to pick them up cheap.

Been a little busy with working on house/Garden and work in general but managed to fit an hybrid ARD that I'd picked up. Going to head for a cheap track evening near me again next week at 3 sisters to see if I can tell any difference.

also I need to sort out my wheel addiction having bought a new set of speedlines to keep as "good" after the brake build up on my current ones from the DS3000 pads have left them being track wheels LOL
