Afternoon all,

Seeing as the rain had stopped this morning I thought it would be the perfect time to fit my newly assembled Billie B8's with Eibach springs. Happy

All was going well until the gearbox decided it didn't like it's Oil anymore and decided to drop it all over the drive! Shock Basically, the passenger side DS decided to come out as I was fitting the shock. Dry

Now, what I want to know is how can I tell if the DS has gone back into place correctly?

When I noticed the nice pool of GBox oil I pushed the driveshaft back into the 'box to try and save as much of the oil as possible, and then proceeded to finish fitting the shock.

Is that all I needed to do and will the DS be ok now? Obviously I'll need to top the GBox up with oil, but can anyone tell me if there is anything else I should have/need to do to the DS?

All help will be appreciated. Thumbs up

The passenger side D/S is just a push fit. Just make sure it's gone all the way back in (I doubt you would have managed to get the shock absorber back into place if it hadn't)

Top the gearbox up and you'll be fine

Nice one, cheers for the quick reply.

I'm picking some bits up from Pug tomorrow anyway, so I'll just grab some GBox Oil at the same time.

Am I right in thinking that the oil Part No. is 9736 41?

I'll get some pics when it's done.

Might take a while though, the rain has started again! Laugh

No more driveway mechanics this week by the looks of things. Sad
