Yeh it is Maria's white Rallye.

I prefer these speedlines to the comps. I am on 55 profile tyres at the moment so makes the face look a little small i do admit, but better in the flesh!

Today I put the front floor carpet back in and a few other interior bits. Makes it look so much neater but also more inviting.

Also painted the seat mounting bars which were welded on with hammerite so they dont go rusty.

Pics tomorrow maybe!

Picked this seat up today - Corbeau Revolution. I already have buckets but saw this and thought it looked a bit more gnarly haha.

Going to fit it and go for a drive, see how see it feels etc then either keep it or sell it, so keep your eyes peeled!

Well, that was shortlived!

Does look sweet in the car, but one thing I overlooked was that it is slightly narrower than what I have now. So the sidemounts are in the wrong position (too far away on 1 side, as per pic) haha, and I cant be bothered to get new mountings drilled/welded as I dont like hassle!

So will be for sale shortly.

Been working in Scotland most of the week, but managed to get the top of the windscreen tinted. Went for 'dark smoke'.

Looks good and not too in your face like a vinyl strip would have been. But the main thing is I can now see when the sun is shining through!!!

Little update - bought some 15inch steels with pretty much brand new Toyo T1-r's on from James and fitted them today.

Wanted another set of wheels so I could have some for track and some for road. I am undecided as to whether to run the steels with the toyos on the road, and Speedlines with the Potenzas on the track...both have their plus & minus points for both really.

What do you think I should do lol.

Anyway pics of them on, and one infront of the London Eye a few weeks back incase you hadnt seen it.

Cheers.

Thought Id update this as its been a while!

After I bought the steels I did a trackday at Snetterton, was in the pouring rain but was awesome fun!!

Got the midsection cut out and straight pipe welded in as it was blowing. Its now super loud, pretty raspy! I think I might need to get the box put back in though for tracks as not sure what the db of it is.

Got my cambelt etc changed by Carl in Norfolk, he also fitted new top mounts and bearings, droplinks and gaz front coilovers.

Car feels a lot better on the front now, much less bouncy thats for sure. Can adjust the stiffness also but for road use its on least stiff setting so my back doesnt break!

Changed the open filter for an enclosed pipercross venom with cold air feed. Such an improvement - no more flats spots and doesnt bog down when warm or stationary, isnt as loud as the open one though.

Next up was throttle bodies. I came back from the pub and looked on ebay LOL to find some bike bodies for sale that ended in a few hours. The picture was as blurry as my eyesight but I bid anyway - won them for a bargain price but didnt know what to expect. This is what turned up;

Suzuki Gsxr1000 bodies.
I was very pleased, basically all work needed was already done - secondary butterflys removed, spaced, bike injector holes alu welded up, standard mani cut down and small lengths welded on.

Connected to manifold with silicone hose, not ideal I agree, but it is butted against the bodies on the inside and there is no flex at all between them, very solid.

Got in contact with Colin Satchell who has just finished making trumpets for me and holes punched in a pipercross filter backing plate

Decided to spray the fuel rail and manifold in black bbq paint LOL

Ive bought some black vaccum hose just need to get some connectors now for it.

I am hoping purchasing an ecu from a member on here who has it on this engine with bike bodies also. Alot of the tuning/electrics is over my head but I am confident I will have everything needed to then get them fitted and mapped.

Not expecting massive gains, any increase would be nice, more so for the noise and to get a nice power/torque curve via the remapping.

Just a few pics from the past few months to finish this update;
FCS Tracktime - didnt enjoy it much, was raging over the twats on there and marshalls in dreamland!

East Anglia Meet

Nice parcel arrived today - very happy with them Big grin fit perfectly!

The backing plate is held on with 2 grub screws going into the back of each trumpet (not secured in pics)

Will probably put some kind of sealant around the tapered part of the trumpets to make sure they are 100% solid.
