I'm having an odd problem with the car at the moment.

It seems the engine fans come on at around ~75 degrees at high speed, would this likely to be caused by the Coolant Temp sensor being faulty?

Is it really a problem? Obviously it is but what does it bring the temp down to and does it cut off once it goes below?

Because they're loud as f*ck, and are getting on my nerves when I have to get out the car while leaving it running.

If it can be sorted for a reasonable amount, why not?

I'm fairly sure once they're on, they dont go off.
