Will a 6 box work on the v6 engine? Or anyone know anything about the electronic speedo on the v6?

No it won't.
Won't the GTi6 speedo sensor go into the same place on the V6 box?

The speedo sensor should be located on the side of the diff and is bolted in with a 10mm or allen bolt. You just swap it over for the 306 item. I'm sure thats what Goliath said when I asked him about the conversion in detail.
