Bit of an odd one. Been doing quite a lot on the Rallye and had the battery disconnected for a while.

Put it all back together and it's not happy. Remote locking no longer working, nor the speedo dials/clocks. Indicators work fine but hazards don't. Car also didn't want to start but mate played around with fuses and got it running.

After he managed to get it started the dials and mileage went odd too; dials would go all the way to the top then come back down again and the mileage/trip-meter would go to 88888 before resetting back to usual.

No fuses have blown as far as we can tell, could a relay have gone or something?

Any thoughts?

Sounds like either the battery is on it's way out, or there is a loose connection to the battery.

Did you charge the battery before you connected it all back up?

I know when mine was disconnected for a couple of weeks, it still needed a charge before everything worked properly. (Battery was only about 2 months old.)

Hmm, the battery was only out for 36 hours or so but will give that a check - thanks! Didn't realise that a low battery could make things go quite so screwy...
