stick the 205 diff in there, easiest way if you ever need replacement shafts.

Is this problem limited to people using 306 gearboxes?

I'm using a 1.6 205 gearbox with 1.9 205 driveshafts

What difference is the 205 diff going to make, I have been running the 1.9 Gti shafts in the 306 diff since august and had no problems, even with the 309 arms I don't have any oil leaking from seals or anything, just wondering if I can use these gti6 shafts to repair my 1.9 Gti shafts, I have a knocking outer bearing on the short shaft

the splines on the diff are different, thats whats causing the problem, the CV on the later BE boses was modified to suit the later planet gear, its hit and miss whether the seals do their job with the incorrect inner CV's, having 309 arms wotn cause any more issues as the shaft sits 8mm too far out, its when you use a 205 arm you can have premature CV wear.

you can't use 306 outer CV's on 205 or 309 shafts as the internal splines are different.

I'm thinking that I'd like to use the 306 shafts, is there a reliable way of shorting them ?
