When the site is re-launched there could easily be a services offered sub section. We all know that if you are looking for good and expert work you can find it in Leicester, Suffolk, Hampshire, and now west london.
People who offer service should have a linked feedback thread so potential customers can assess their reputation. Miles two Carls, Deepak all appear to have earned respect for their standards.
I don't mean to diss anyone I haven't mentioned but have chosen examples from memory.
A bike site I use has a "professional Trading" section where each supplier has a listing with their own thread for parts/services offered and ann admin moderated feed back thread. Works well.

Hi John^^^,

The link you've pasted doesn't work, however the idea does sound good. I will get onto admin and see if the new site will have a section for forum mechanics.

Deepak, thanks again for diagnosing the car on Saturday. been a big help. will be coming back in a couple of weekends to get the clutch (and the other minor work) done.

Was very satisfied with Deepaks work and knowledge. He spent over an hour check all over the car for faults and told me everything and anything that needed doing, and even advised on things that will need to be done but doesnt need doing straight away so can wait, something most mechanics don't bother with.

will definately be using his services again.

Cheers mate.

PS- well done on man utd winning! they're still scum!

Thank you for the feedback Billy,

I got to admit your 6 was very nice indeed! With the clutch done and the other minor niggles fixed it'll be one of the best examples around.

See you soon mate.

P.s Utd won again tonight! Big grin

^^^ It6's funny you should say that Simon as I almost did!

I had an interview with British Airways Maintenance Cardiff but didn't get offered the job. Kinda glad as the place was boring!

Would have been good to meet members from Wales though!

Just a quick Update,

1. I've revised my prices as the cost of fuel has gone up.

2. I've also changed my email address to deepakgohil88@googlemail.com

Cheers

Just a quick recommendation for Deepak, top fella!
My spring snapped just before the easter bank holiday which meant other quotes from garages were ridiculous. I gave Deepak a call and he was more than happy to help.

Not only was the labour a fair price, but he went and picked up parts for me on the sunday and was able to arrange for me to pick the car up that night.

Great service all round and very local to me. I'll be using you in the future, cheers mate!

Thanks for the feedback Dan.

It was quite easy working on your car, one the the few 6's where everything was where it's supposed to be! Except that damper...

Glad to here you'll be coming back, I appreciate the custom Smile

Some more top work carried out by Deepak!!!!

As all of us know French electrics are crap - especially the drivers side door loom. Soon after I bought my car in December the common faults of it's failure became apparent (central locking and windows not fully working).

After some previous tidy work carried out by Deepak I went back to get the above fixed. He designed a bespoke solution to my faults. I now have a nice new fuse and relay 'brain'in the boot which is a much more robust and cheaper way than fixing the loom.

Once again Deepak has excelled. He has even provided a wiring diagram for future reference.

Thanks again dude.

Thanks again for the positive feedback "Lion King". The wiring in your car was definitely a challenge! But I'm glad you like the system I put in place.

And thanks for the support Pete, I hope it will encourage others to think of me the next time they need their 6 servicing or repairing Smile

Deepak looked after my Mrs 206 over the weekend.

First time for me to use a mechanic from this forum, and he def knows his stuff, and it's good to have some-one so close to me!!

Once i source a Nissens Radiator, my Rallye is heading your way Deepak.

Thanks

Steven

Thanks for the feedback Steven, it was definitely different driving a left hand drive car for the first time!

I hope your girlfriend's mind is now at ease though Smile

The Rallye is back on the road thanks to West London's finest mechanic, 702puggti aka Deepak who knows the 1's, 2's and without a doubt the 3's too, when it comes to Rallye's/6's Big grin

I SORN'd my Rallye back in November 2009 due to work commitments and it's now back on the road(1 year 6 months), sitting pretty and running better than I've ever took ownership of this car since mid 2006! Cool

Deepak is 101% customer focused, honest, friendly, provide regular updates(emails/text messages/phone calls) and possess a thorough knowledge with fault finding and diagnosis(ironing out the impossible niggles we are usually prompted with these motors).

He performed a full service for my car including the addition of a secondary Radiator Fan switch which resolved my age long cooling affair and his labour costs were very reasonable.

Naturally passed the MOT with flying colours and even Robins & Day Brentford(Chiswick) were highly impressed with my Rallye's presence(purely because it's totally standard bar the ultra quiet Longlife cat back exhaust).

Yesterday, I took it for a spirited B-Road blast and damn it felt sooo good! Love

Once again, Deepak, thanks for all your hard efforts! Thumbs up

Thanks for the feedback Nil, it's always a pleasure putting another GTi or Rallye back on the road - especially yours as it is a very clean example.

I hope you have many happy days in it and I won't see you again until your oil change!

If there's anyone else who needs my assistance and services please don't hesitate to get in contact!

Cheers Smile

Another thanks to Deepak.

My Rallye's rad decided to give out on the M4 a couple of weeks ago.
Deepak sorted me out again and didn't even charge me for a part he bought as the Rallye didn't need it! Top job!Smile

I will be in touch very soon, so the the Rallye can have a service(end of the month), and then sort out a few other bits.

Now the car is nearly were i want it, i will now try and source a standrad exhaust again!! Wink

Deepak,

thanks again for sorting the car out. was driving like a dream yesterday...alot smoother, especially off first. i think all the small wear and tears parts that were replaced have given the car life again.

i am putting the shortshift back on soon though (might get another one as this one wasnt that great), the current factory throws are too far. all about the quick shifting..! but thanks for taking it out.

if you come across a good condition drivers seat, let me know.

Deepak Gohil; excellent service, good price, honest advice, (only concern is he might be abit OCD and finds and fixes all the faults so he doesnt have to see our ugly mugs again Wink )

thanks bro...see you soon

Thanks for the positive feedback Billy. I'm glad you're happy with the service mate, even if it is a little OCD!

It's true though, once a car leaves me I don't want to see it again unless it's for a service; that to me means I've done a high quality job.

If I happen to find a seat I'll definitely let you know.

Happy motoring Smile
