Bit of a strange one, when idling below 98C the car is fine, when the coolant fans kick in the car seems to hunt and get a bit lumpy.

I guess that when the fans kick in the engine has to work more to supply power to them. But the rev counter doesn't seem to move below 1000rpm

Apart from this there are no other problems very occasionally it will dip below 1000rpm the ICV sticks when putting the clutch in at some speed or coming to a roundabout but this isn't often.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Not sure if its exactly the same thing but there was a time when mine was awful when it got hot, wanted to stall all of a sudden. I was also suffering from occasional hesitancy. I replaced the CTS and lambda at this time and the problem went.

I may have the same issue then, im only assuming the fans are associated- could just be a coninsidence.

Where is the CTS sensor? Is that the one in cylinder head?

MAP looks easy enough to replace.
