hi all, is it possible to replace the front wheel bearings myself or is it a garage job, just fitted new coilovers and found out that the front drivers side bearing has seized, had to chop my droplinks to get them off and offside ABS sensor snapped inside hub trying to take it out, so not going to well.

also how much work would it take to remove the ABS unit to non ABS. just a thought.

sounds like you have the same luck as me everything is siezed but then most of it has been replaced now not much siezed stuff left lol good luck with the bearing.

also ask the garage how much the bearing is as gargaes have soooo tried to rip me off on bearing prices before!!!

just another quick question if anyone can help, took the bearings out of both front hubs but it has left the runners/seat in, do they come out or stay in?

done the bearings today and all went well. everything went back together with no problems, fitted new drop links and nuts and bolts where needed, and coilovers with new top mounts and bearings. got it all done and drove the car afterwards to find that my steering wheel is turned slightly to the right. wheels are straight and all but slight pull to the left which i think tracking will sort but not sure whats gone wrong with steering wheel.

any ideas please do say.

It will be the tracking Wink

You need to remember that you have moved/replaced everything attached to the hubs.

The tracking will still be set to how things were before you did the work. Tired droplinks, top mounts, bearings, struts, springs etc...

Try getting it tracked and start on a fresh page so to speak Thumbs up
