I'm having issues with my steering, seems to get stuck when doing slow parking moves, or gets slow and really heavy. I think this may be due to a worn rack.

1. Where is the best (and cheapest) place to get a reconditioned rack?

2. Is there anything special about the '6' rack apart from the different ram?

3. Do they come with a new Ram as I have one off a 5 speed at the moment so may as well sort that at the same time.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice! Thumbs up

1. Don't know
2. I'm not sure but I think the 6 has a slightly different ratio to other 306's but I'm not sure on that one. It could be opportunity to upgrade to go for a Xsara VTS rack
3. They won't come with a new ram.

An early rack is only 2.2 turns lock to lock. It's the one thing I miss about my old one. I think it'd be better but I couldn't say for sureLOL
