tonight ive managed to strip out the dash etc but im now looing at shortening the loom and getting rid of as much spare wire as possible

if i get myself an unlocked ECU can all the internal sensors, keypad wires be removed??

also there is a black box under the rear seat im not sure what it does yet but can it also be binned??

Depends what you want to keep, if it's just the basics then scrap the original loom and rewire them from scratch. Much easier and better if you know exactly how it is wired.

the black box under rear seat can be the ecu for cenrtal locking. try to plug it off and use your plip Wink

all i want is lights and the engine to run
its for track use only so the more i can get rid of the better!!

if i bin it will i just loose the central locking??
as im not too fussed if that is the case because ive binned all the electrics from both doors (plus the window mechanism)

right i have now started stripping out the loom and there are a few wires that im unsure of

one is a pink one in the large multiplug according to autodata its an anti start wire
where does this go to and what does it do exactly??

also there is a plug with 2 wires right next to the ecu its a brown plug and sits just above the gearbox but as yet i haven't traced it through

any help greatly apreciated Smile
