Hiya everyone

Im looking at modifying and re-wiring my door looms as ive got the dreaded wire breakage, and things are not working LOL

What AMP wire do i need to replace parts of the wire's ?????? (ie door speakers, elec windows, central locking and the connecting wires for the elec windows.

Car is a Phase 3 306 GTi-6 99 T-Plate

On my Loom i have the following.....Have to bare with me as im colourblind (RED/GREEN CP4)Sad

20 wires in total
1 thick blue wire
2 thick white wires
1 thick green wire
2 medium red
3 medium yellow
1 medium brown
1 medium white
3 medium beige
2 medium green
2 very thin purple
1 very thin brown
1 very thin light purple


4 thin wires at least 5AMP ?
12 medium wires at least 10Amp too ?
4 thick wires at least 10AMP ?

Hi,

A starting point will be to look at the rating of the fuse for the component you are looking to re-wire to give you an idea of the spec of wire.

Given there are plenty of people breaking 306's on the forum, wouldn't it be easier to see if you can source the equivilent loom and splice in what you need?

2. I will do that as well as i have a spare inside door loom somewhere

depends how much spare slack there is, but I'd be inclined to just find the break and just join it back up if possible, halve the joints you need to make then.

The repair looms that are available from Peugeot, though a little expensive, are worth it for the ease of fitting.
