i had a 1.6 engine and ecu i converted to a gti6 (and ecu) however when i hook up the car to the computer it is not reading the gti6 ecu. How can this be fixed?what can be the problem? do i need to put in any additional fuses or relays?

to read the ecu with a fault code reader, the 16 pin diagnostic plug only connects to 3 pins in the engine ecu (the other plugs are for lives/earths, abs ecu etc). Are the pinouts different between the 1.6 ecu and 2.0 ecu for the diagnostic plug? A wiring diagram should tell you.
