Hi,

...Wizard...

= Tesco 99 fuel

= Fuel question??

= Tescos fuel related problem????

= Super Unleaded

= High octane fuel in a '6?

= Tesco's 99 Wins Fuel Shootout

- The GTi-6/Rallye engines/ECUs are mapped to 97RON...
- Peugeot recommend using 97+ octane

Thanks for the info chaps.

Any idea what sort of mileage I can expect out of a full tank?

I haven't had the 306 that long.

It does as the engine has a knock sensor that will retard the timing if you use high octane stuff. One of those posts linked to above was my question and the general consensus was that some people noticed a minor difference with the high octane stuff but the engine is designed for 95 octane, the standard stuff and with petrol being

I run mine on V power all the time now and IMO it makes a difference, especially to economy Yes I get 40 miles more out of a tank than if i was running it on 95. I would avoid BP ultimate though, that stuff doesnt seem to make and difference at all. If your going to use V power make sure you get a shell card too, regular users of V power get double points which equals more money off vouchers Big grin

So if those using V-Power et al get more to a tank, does it offset the extra cost?

Tesco 99 is the only super unleaded I use, and only when it's <= 5p more than 97.

V-Power is too dear IMO. 11p/litre more than their normal petrol the last time I was on a Shell forecourt Blink
