hi just been given a 1.6 306 (R reg 97), central locking locks then automatically unlocks itself (so i have to hold n/s/f door pin down till it stops then press each individual lock down to lock the car)also makes a funny noise from the drivers door when open/close door (dont know if this is wiring harness) also drivers elecric window does not work unsure whether or not is related.

thanks chris

doors are not part of an MOT as long as the drivers one opens and closes fine and there's no sharp edges LOL

does the window not need to open for mot? just want it all sorted so i dont have to worry about it to much. got a new standard backbox to fit, rocker gasket to fit and just picked up a tyre which wasnt even 5% worn for 15squid so not doing to bad on a budget of a couple hundred.

I think its 2 seperate issues 1 I think either c/lock motor or/c/l pump are knackered and also the wiring in the door is quite clearly shot! Just fitted a new cd player as the standard pug cassette didn't work and the drivers speaker isn't working and its all connected fine. Got no idea what I'm doing but gonna sort it my self ordered a new wiring loom. How hard can it be!lol gotta try and do the shocks, top mounts and bearings too all I've got left is
