Right so, had a look using search, all i could find was about the VSS or the earths.

The speedo rests at 140mph+, resting on the trip meter reset button most of the time but occasionally after an hour or so it starts working again fine. When i turn the ignition lights on the needle flickers slightly but refuses to go back round to the other side. Not sure what the problem is tbh, it's not like it doesn't register a speed at all, it's almost as if it's stuck but the needle moves freely when touched, leading me to think maybe it's electrical.

From what i could tell the VSS was in good nick and i've pulled the clocks out and checked the connections there, they all seem clean and in good condition.

All i can think of now is to check the earths. Any ideas which ones i should start with?

Ok, now i've noticed that the trip meter and mileometer are still going up, but the speedo's dead, so i really don't think it's the VSS.

Suggestions?

I have the same problem on my Rallye ph2 almost for the year...
I tried to disassemble the dash panel but didn't find the problem.
Now I'm using tachometer as speedo Smile
