hi i have got a 306 2lt 16v xsi engin sittin in the shed would a gti head fit on to it and would it make any diffrance on the performance side

Yes, the head would fit no bother. It would also provide a significant performance increase when used with the GTi-6 inlet and exhaust manifolds and camshafts....
