Spiky, all of these products ScratchX, SSR1 SSR2 are polishes but like X69 RRG says they are like wet n dry and come in different abrasive levels.
The swirls on your car look quite bad, I would suggest that the best way to take them out would be by machine or polish as best you can by hand and use a wax with fillers to mask the swirls.

getting it detailed is a good idea. maybe expensive though. you can see the swirls in the light on the left but the rest look like light scratches. you could try the ssr range but they may need some elbow grease to bring it back flat. *edit* failing that like spitfire says. a machine polisher will make it a s**t load easier. Smile

well i finally got round to putting the front end back on the car before the weekend. one week on. only one shower where i am so i decided to give it a quick going over to freshen the paintwork up.

currently been using this, which cleans flys/dust etc off well and leaves it shiny but doesnt have that glassy feel

so when that ran out, i gave this gear a quick go.

which is awesome. fast becoming a poorboys convert. does exactly the same but leaves the surface feeling like its just been waxed. smells good too.

heres some pics with the grill etc back on and freshly detailed

all in the stealth mate. they look a lot darker in the pics than they actually are. think the clear ones would stick out like a sore thumb now ive got the blanks on and colour coded everthing.
but if you think you've got enough mates then Wave LOL

stealth is totally standard on the skin but not under it,could be time for crystals and cyclones for me Ninja

And if you feel that way i wish you a good day and a fond farewell young sir! Wave

Good luck running team one in the poo and one in the goo on your own! Razz

cheers. yea forgot to mention them. they work well with the masks. think if i ever put crystals back on i'll put the clear repeaters back too.

masks/smoked indicators/blanks/petrol cap trims/mirrors....everything is easy enough to change back so it can look totally different if i get bored. Wink

As you know i love the turini's but sadly they have become a very popular alloy since i had mine(wonder why? Whistle) so im looking for something different

Sadly i just see cyclones a touch too small and lions as too big and overpriced

and theres nothing wrong with updating your car, look at mine!there isnt one area i havent changed in the 18months if owned her Crazy

And i'd love to slip a sly digit up Miss Fox's spider to see her reaction

i'd stick more than a digit up there!!Razz

yea fair doos. i'll prob do an interior thread when i put the centre console back together. thats had a lot of time spent on it as well.

just thought as im completely changing certain parts of the car i may as well make it how i want it (tastefully of course) rather than keeping it standard just to please buyers if i sell it.

its all this forums fault. project threads, shiny ideas, go faster bits, paint this, charge that, lower this retrim that. its cursed run away aaarrrhhh!Crazy
