This is my 205 GTI, originally had a 1600cc engine and then had a 1900cc 8v fitted by the previous owner Dry Which was bodged.

Everything he touched f*cked up to put it straight.
His quote 'I had the engine out and the new one in, in a day!'..... Says it all.

This is what she looked like when I first got her:

Old engine out!

Messy engine bay:

All cleaned up:

307 Hdi brake setup on Mintex pads (which cost a fortune!) New 406 MC aswell installed.

New engine Big grin

Sunroof out

Totally irrelevant but a funny picture of hovis16's old hair do LOL

Before:

After!:

Clearance issues Dry

It's cranking but not firing, the fuel pump is working. Everything is connected and theres no fuel being injected or spark.

I've tried 2 ecu's and nothing.

Any ideas?

Pin 14 does have 12v yes, its cranking but not firing.

I read your article on the relay and i think thats at fault.

No fuel being injected but pump working and no spark.

I've got a build thread on 205driversWhistle

Nothing at the mo Paul. I've had a few lazy days as i'm beat from work. I've also recently acquired a house so if i'm not working, i'm sorting stuff out for the move, and if I get time...i'll be working on the car.
