hi all , i have fitted my engine in ,my 205 today and i have a few problems ? the master cylinder sits right on top of the cam covers ? and has now cracked it ,i am useing the 406 mount with the large rubber on ? i think i need a 306 gti6 mount ? as the engine sits to the n/s now ? any ideas or should i just get the 6 mount and see what happens ? Unsure Unsure

you can use some spacers on the MC to rase it abit or you could grind a little off the cam cover, afew people just use a different mount.
there has been a number of topics about this before try a search for more details

On my old Mi16 205 I user washers on one side of the MC to angle it away from the camcover.

Sounds like you need to use the 6 top mount along with the standard 205 rubber screwed into the body, are you saying the engine is on the p*ss?

Even with a 6 mount you will still need to do something with the master cylinder, as it will be trying to munch into the cambelt cover.

you need to use an XU7/10 top arm from a 405/306/partner/berlingo.

yeah it sits on the p*ss a bit and over to the n/s so the cam cover is directly under the Master cyliner not the one side like carls is siting ? ,im going to get the 6 mount asap and then fingers crossed it will be then ? cos dont fink carl had to do anyfink to the master cyliner did he ?

just cut a bit of the cam cover out the way and fit a 6 mount and all will be fine

right got it in nice now as it should ,just used the 6 top mount and the 205 gti gear box just woundering what clutch to use and is the gti fly wheel ok ? i reckon (i will use a 1.9 clutch and the gti6 flywheel in the 1.9 gear box ?) Unsure

i would probably use 1.9 mi clutch and flywheel.

I'm using a BX 16v Clutch for my 205 GTi-6 Conversion. Its the same as the Mi16v Clutch but is definatly the 1900 version, as the 2000 version of the Mi is the same as the 306, not the 205
