went for a revotec one, was more as it was the only nice looking gauge I could find that was on a black background, measured in PSI, with a vacuume side to the gauge.

I did think about losing a 'zorst box, but it sounds far too sweet to hack about, I love how it sounds now, gets better with every journey as it soots up at the moment.

Perfectly reasonable at plodding about, no unnessecary (sp) noise or drone, but put your foot down and all hell breaks loose. Sounds like a F1 car (in my head anyway) LOL

Cheers Jim btw Thumbs up

Bit of an update.

Seeing as I have been working on the house for the last 6 months, there hasn't been much progress on the car.
I have taken some time off from the house to fart about with the car in preparation for a trackday next month Hyper.

Picked up some tatty looking wheels to replace my cyclones as they didnt fit over my AP's.

Decided to strip them down:

And spray them up white. Fancied seeing what white wheels would look like on the car (seeing as I have a white boot hatch and the bonnet will be white when I eventually get a new one)

The finished article, fitted to the car, along with the AP's now fitted finally!!

Have to say, I think it looks quite smart and white definatly suits Sigma Yes
Cyclones on the rear axle still as I have only done 2 wheels so far.

I have hacked the pasenger door about a bit now too.

Will attack the drivers door some more next, and possibly the bonnet (but as I say, im not intending to keep this bonnet ultimately so im not sure I can be arsed)

I have also bought a lightweight racing battery and bracket so I will be mounting that in next. Should save 13-14 KGs when I remove the existing battery and box and put this one in!

Out of interest Chris, How far have you had to move the disc inwards to get them to fit in the wheels?

Bells offset the rotors 16mm into the arch Steve.

This would ordinarily foul on the balljoints if you ran 7.5" P.C.D rotors, but these are 8" P.C.D rotors so the balljoints actually sit just inside the rotors Crazy

This image shows the 16mm offset better from the original bells I have.

Wheels are not exactly to my taste either in the shape, but I got them cheap, so they will do for the time being.

I would like a set of Team Dynamics Pro Race 3's in white, but ill have to wait a while before I buy them!

I had already thought of the possibility of the heat buggering up the balljoints, It may be worthwhile making up some heavier duty heat shields at some point. I will probably also put some ducts to the inside of the wheel from the fog light holes for cooling at some point. Hopefully between them that will be enough.

Todays progress:

fitted the race battery behind the passenger seat, wired it all up in 50mm cable (no volt drop for me!) and ripped out the original battery and box and re-mounted the ecu etc.

Will get some pics tomorrow, along with fit the oil catch tank where the battery was hopefully.

There is an excess of cable currently as I have left enough of a loop so I can fit an FIA kill switch in the dash board too. Just got to buy one now Doh

Is that how they are set on the car buddy? You sure it will be ok with the rotor spaced out like that? Just something about that which makes me uncomfortable, i always thought the setup was a straight fit Unsure

As Mab said, it was used to work out what offset I wanted / could get away with and still have the brakes fit over most 15" wheels.

Proper bells have been made with the correct offset. Yes
