Not a fan of green stuff either.

DS2500 say not for road use on them but once they are on who is going to know?

Those discs + Green Stuff pads in my experience are shite. When they get warm they get worse too...

Nearly had an additional part to my car when a mate came hurtling towards me with that combo.

Standard Vented Brembo Discs from GSF and Green Stuff pads are awesome.

I've used the grooved only version of those discs before, and with DS2500s too.

They were okay, but I won't be using them again. They wore a little too quickly for my liking and the grooves weren't deep enough, IMO.

I've been running DS2500's on standard discs and they've been fine, you wouldn't know the difference till you need them then they work very well.

I've heard some horror stories about drilled rotors. Namely that the edges where they've been drilled are prone to cracking when they get hot.

Are they really that bad? The 6 I got last week came with Greenstuff pads and drilled / grooved discs. Now I know they dont seem to get a good rating on forums but they stop one hell of a lot better than the 266 setup on the HDi, and that had new feredo pads, cant remember the disc manufacturer but they were new too.

Never had a problem with the DS2500s either. They do make a fair bit of dust, however if bedded in using the method in the pad box (heat cycling) then they work great.

Get them from Demon Tweeks and on the phone mention this site and you should get a decent discount too Big grin

:yep

I think the high ones (Porsche/Ferrari) are fine though as the holes are cast in rather than drilled Yes

Yeah that's how they get round it, but it's created a sporty image of what good brakes look like, so joe public has gone and started putting cheapo drilled ones on his car and they fail.

Infact the front discs are on my new 6 as I sold them to Ben then bought his car a month later LOL
