Afternoon!

Well I want to get my PAS relocation kit in place and need to figure out the belt length I will need.

I am moving the PAS down to where the AC was. With nothing up top to make room for my Jenvey's panel filter.

So using this diagram... (Thanks gti6pugbug)

The path in red would be the correct layout? Does anyone know what the correct length belt would be?

One extra question... where would I obtain a belt the correct length?

Thanks!

Yes, that's correct Yes

Any decent motorfactors should be able to do a belt if you tell them the lenght.

It doesn't have to be overly accurate, the auto-tensioner can compensate for 10mm odd of belt length

Well, after finally biting the bullet and believing it won't rain I sorted this on Saturday.

Skinned pretty much every knuckle, and the back of my bloody thumb, but its all now fitted... had a bit of a mare with the pas pump inlet... interference fit... yeah... welded more like Big grin still it moved, and skinned me again.

Turns out the belt I had on there was a perfect fit. It's bloody close between the belt going round the tensioner, and the belt coming down from the alternator -> pas pump. But I've revved it and idled it, and all sorts and it hasn't touched.

Anyway, thanks for the kit Rich!

Glad you got it fitted alright Jim Big grin

Good to see it actually works, I think you're the first person to use the PAS relocation kit from the SC Kit to benefit your TB conversion and get the PAS pump out the way Thumbs up

I wouldn't worry about the belt being close, even if it does touch momenterily it would be ok, it's not like it's a toothed belt or anything.

What length belt did you end up using?

Would be handy to know, there are a few people who are intending to use my kit for ITB conversions.

Cheers

Smile

My setup was switched to a rallye setup after my aircon was removed. So I would expect it to be the rallye belt length... unless they vary quite a bit? i can measure it later...

Did you ever get around to measuring the belt bud? As I'm in the process of doing the same thing myself and have bought 3-4 belts now that are all too long or too short. measuring it with string seems to have given me an inaccurate result as the string sits right down in the bottom of the Vees and throws the results out.
