I'm guessing Dan wasn't too receptive to being pulled over?

Were you speeding, or were they on their high horse?

I only say this as I had a stupidly loud exhaust and the police didn't mention it at all when they pulled me for a check.

From what he was telling me yesterday, they spotted him driving abit enthusiastically on a dual carridgeway and managed to track him down. Im guessing they didn't get some sort of speed recording device on him to do him for that so had to find something else.

....However Birk did mention that the driver of the Evo X cop wagon was impressed with the dimma Whistle

1st asbo was issued because the copper thought i was racing a mate, which is a load of bo***cks, if i was racing him, i would have been in front old 525 bmw, he got tugged for speeding and because i was behind him at the time he was pulled, i got an asbo :S

Ive changed the exhaust already, but it hardly made it any quiter, so not sure what to do on that part.

Fletch - was a bit of all of them, copper was on his high horse, more so than ever compared to others ive dealt with, i wasnt realy been a cock with him, i think its just he had it set in his head he was going to punish me because he saw and heard me go past.

Ive got it back now, and its got a fresh new test

Technically it should not emit any more noise than a standard fit exhaust.

Custom Pipes?

I got my centre section made up there, and had it fitted with decat and magnex back box.

It wasnt the one down carhill coop (custom pipes) although my last exhaust was from them, it kept falling apart and rattling, so went to topgear.

Sure hope not LOL they didnt mention that it would be taken off me and crushed mind, just if i left it at the impound yard for a month.

Hmm, could probably make it a fair bit quieter if you want me to price it up for you?

That looks a very similar setup to mine, same size silencers etc and mine is quiet "ish" until you boot it, only difference is my 2.5" pipe runs right to the end of the tooter with a chromed oval surround tacked to it, this helps to keep it quiet i think

Its not to bad when tootlin' around, but you have to be realy easy with the peddle, go anywhere near it and it drowns a bit, then gets loud when you give it the beans.

Reading about this impounding of cars because of noise related asbos..

Does anyone know of any time where a roadside emissions test has been done?

Me neither, although they seem to be clamping down on loud exhausts and handing out asbos Dry

The dimma certainly looks a minter in those old pics Smile
