Owner gezti6Year of registration July 1999 Year you bought the car September 2003 Mileage when bought 48,000 miles Current mileage 61,000 miles Paint colour China Blue What made you buy this car? I bought the a car as it was a natural progression form my previous car - a 106 GTI. I wanted something with a little more space and comfort, but still with great handling and performance. I think the quote from EVO sums it up brilliantly- "an inspired blend of poise, adjustability, comfort and precision". Modifications (Exterior) None Modifications (Interior) None Modifications (Performance) It currently has a Supersprint cat-back exhaust system at the moment. I am fitting Gp N system with de-cat in the new year after the MOT. I might fit some form of Induction Kit as well |

Best moment? I think (apart form the Croft track day) the best moment for me was the first time I headed out onto the Snake Pass (A57 Sheffield-Manchester). Mountain Bike on back, sat behind the rows of 40mph idiots, 3rd gear, floor the throttle. OMFG!!! I nearly ran straight into the back of the first one. One car passed, two, three, four, still pulling, five, into 4th, six, into three figures now. And back in. Check mirrors - phew bikes still there. remember to breath again. I can still remember it vividly, it was the first time I had chance to fully open it up. Christ what a car! Worst moment? The worst moment came last January/February. I had some serious electrical problems with the car - fuses kept blowing, dials would pack in as I was driving along. Eventually it just completely died on me. The problems were traced to a faulty Alarm ECU. Just after that the MOT came and £700 worth of work was needed. Gutted. Luckily Peugeot stood most of the cost. Shortly after this episode I discovered www.306gti6.com and everything has been looking good since! | |
